1 P. J. Spear SR

P. J. will be called on to do many things for the Panthers this year. After two years on the Orange JV team, he will
work out at third base, second base and catching in the bullpen. He gives the Panthers a depth at several
positions.

CCSSL.

and Katie Spear, one brother Hank who also attends OHS. P. J.'s father played outfield for the Panthers.

J. R. Ray JR MIF
2009- J. R. is expected to be a back-up at shortstop and second base for the Panthers.
He will also contribute with his bat, perhaps as a DH or pinch-hitter off the bench.
2008- Played for the Orange JV team. Played for the Orange Senior summer team in
the CCSSL.
Personal- Son of Mike and Deedra Ray. J. R.'s sister,
Michelle, plays for the Lady Panthers' softball team.

5 Melvin Williamson

2009-
Melvin will compete for playing time in left and centerfield for the Panthers. He runs well and has a solid arm.
If his defense continues to improve he will definitely help the Orange defense. Melvin will also help the offense
with his speed.

6 Aaron Swiggett

2009- Aaron will add depth in the middle infield. Aaron works hard
in practice and has a good attitude. He can play second and possibly third base. Aaron continues to work on
his swing and getting stronger.

the Panthers win the 2A state championship as a sophomore, as he played shortstop, outfield and pitched.
2007- Played
the varsity Panthers as a freshmen. Hit .275, 11 hits in 40 at bats with 7 RBI. Was 4 for 4 in stolen bases.
Played summer ball for Orange in the CCSSL. Played fall ball for Durham in the GRFBL.

Cole will compete for one of the outfield spots and also pitch for the Panthers. Cole has a strong arm and good speed.
Cole will pitch as spot starter and as releiver. Cole is very persistent in his effort to become a better player.
He is one of the hardest workers on the team.
